Claus Fischer

Claus Fischer focuses on senior executive searches for leading global consumer, retail, and luxury clients throughout Europe and beyond. Having led the firm’s global Retail and Luxury Practice for many years, Claus works with companies across these industries and the broader consumer space on assignments with C-level executives and boards of directors. He is also the office manager for Hamburg, where he is based.

Claus has led numerous searches for consumer goods, retail, hospitality, and family-owned organizations. Recent assignments include recruiting a CEO for a European omnichannel beauty retailer, the chair and CEO for a family-owned hard luxury brand, two non-executive boards members for a food retailer, and CEOs for a European fast fashion and a lifestyle brand.

Before joining Russell Reynolds Associates, he spent 15 years in international management positions in the food industry, including brand manufacturers, private label producers, and B2B food ingredient suppliers. He was also a member of the marketing and sales practice at McKinsey & Co., overseeing customer activation projects across industries.
